Our Products Are Fully Integrated With

Capion Studio paired with 3DR SiteScan services enables you to capture your job site like never before. Our copter is specifically designed to produce high resolution Orthomosaics, and 3D Point Cloud Meshes with centimeter level accuracy.

Our copter is different than any consumer based drone because we are working with the Sony R10C camera. Our unit boast an APS-C sized 20 megapixel sensor, with a 20mm rectilinear lens, and virtually no perceivable distortion. The Sitescan package enables us to construct highly accurate modeled products to use natively with Autodesk software such as AutoCad Civil 3D and ReCap 360

SiteScan is the total package for Reality Capture:

  • Survey large plots of land, creating high-res Orthos and 3D PCM paired with your GCPs

  • Create daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly As-Builts

  • Assess Cut & Fill creating Surface Models

  • Generate 1 Foot Contour Studies in 2D or 3D space

  • Generate gradient colored DEMs in 2D or 3D space

  • Conduct volumetric studies on shifting materials with 95% accuracy

  • Generate Clash Reports in BIM with CAD overlays to monitor progress on existing conditions within your job site.

QUALITY IS

PARAMOUNT

We understand accuracy can be derived from a number of factors, therefore quality is paramount. Unlike many consumer based UAVs, our copter is specifically designed for quality data capture without perceivable distortions. This will yield a high data capture, with greater accuracy and a lower RMSE. SiteScan will operate comfortably some where in the vertical RMSE 0.130 range, similar to terrestrial LIDAR. This is thanks to a larger sensor, greater GSD, and minimal distortion from the lack of electronic digital stabilization found in many consumer based drones.

The Sony R10C sensor is built from the ground up to capture data with precision in mind. With larger photosites, higher dynamic range, and a greater megapixel count you can rest assured your project will contain more information than any product on the market. Thanks to low altitude flying, Capion Studio can achieve a GSD of 0.3 inches per pixel (100 FT AGL) to 1.0 inch per pixel (400 FT AGL) depending on project conditions. Having the ability to capture such a great resolution at such a low altitude will dramatically enhance your GSD, far beyond traditional manned aerial surveying.

Attaining quality data is only part of the equation. With the 3DR SiteScan package, our images are geotagged while in flight using a mechanical shutter, eliminating the human error of offset syncing. The Sony R10C sensor is mapped to the AutoDesk ReCap Cloud engine. This means that the ReCap engine is built around the Sony R10C, utilizing the entire width of the sensor. This enables us to create a true overlapping flight mission without disposing of valuable pixel data in processing. We are capable of minimizing pixel interpolation with millions of points and preventing rubber sheeting when paired with your GCPs. As a result we are capable of creating crisp maps and models with a high fidelity. Our SiteScan pairs with hundreds of known coordinate systems and are output in WGS84 standard upon completion.

COMPREHENSIVE

PRODUCTS

We build products that empower you to achieve your end goal. There are no two missions that are the same, and each product must be thoroughly planned out. Product data can be processed in a number of ways, and it is important to collect as much information pertaining to the end goal before we fly.

Our copter can be flown in a number of configurations, including Nadir, Oblique, and Crosshatch missions to produce highly detailed 2D Orthos or 3D PCMs. Our copter is fully capable of multi battery missions so we can cover hundreds of acres without the worry of stitching together our data.

Our Native File Outputs Include:

  • Point Clouds: .LAS and .RCS

  • 3D Mesh: .RCM .FBX and .OBJ

  • 2D Orthomosaic: .TIF

  • 2D Unprocessed Images: .JPEG Georeferenced

  • 2D Half Meter Contours: .DBF .PRJ .SHP .SHX

  • 2D or 3D One Foot Contour Conversion Upon Request

SAMPLE OUR

QUALITY

Seeing is believing. Take a close look at the quality of our models in relation to traditional manned aerial surveying. The level of detail that can be attained by low altitude flying and a high megapixel count results in a very good GSD of 0.3 inches per pixel (100 FT AGL) to 1.0 inch per pixel (400 FT AGL). Pair this with a tight GCP pattern and we can produce a map with centimeter level accuracy.

This house was built in the early 90's and measures approximately 50 feet in length. Our 3D PCM measures a theoretical quick pick of roughly 15.39 meters translating to 50.49 feet long, roughly a half foot off. This is a very good starting point for theoretical data without anchoring GCPs.
